CIRCULAR–VII: PRAJASEVAKENDRAM

Sub:-  Land Records – Praja Seva Kendram – Banning of Handwritten Pahani  copies  and  to issue  of  computerized  copies of  Land Records      through     the     Counters                    called         as       “PRAJA         SEVA KENDRAMS” at Tahsildar’s  Office  – Amount  so collected shall be  deposited  in  a separate Bank Account  –  Out of  collected amount  30% kept with  the Tahsildar and 70% Amount to be sent to Collector’s Office  Nellore – Instructions issued – Reg.

In the reference cited, all the Tahsildar’s  in  the District have been instructed to  collect the requisite fee  for the issue of the following documents through “Praja Seva Kendram” as detailed below.

2). It was also instructed that the amount should be  utilized only for the purposes of the purchase of the following.

a.     Stationery Charges

b.     Purchase of Printer Cartridges

c.     Repair / Maintenance of Printers

d.     Repair / Maintenance of other Computer Accessories.

3). In partial modifications of the above instructions it is hereby directed to utilize the collected amount as detailed below.

i.       The amount  collected in  respect of  the Serial Numbers 8, 9, 12, and 13 mentioned  in   the  above table  should  be   remitted  in   concerned  Sub- Treasury under proper head of Account.

ii.      The     amount       collected      in     respect       of     serial     numbers        1,2,3,4,5,6,

7,10,11,14,15, and 16  mentioned in  the above table should be  deposited in            a       separate   Bank              Account     to     be     maintained       by    the     Tahsildar’s concerned.        Out of  the  collected amount  30% of  the amount should be kept  with   the  Tahsildars   for  utilization   of  Stationery  charges  etc.  as mentioned in  Para 2  of  this circular. The remaining 70% amount  should be  send to Collectors Office  in  the shape of Demand Draft drawn in  favour of  Joint  Collector   –  Praja  Seva  Kendram,   SPS   Nellore District,  for payment  of  Salaries  to the  Outsourcing Computer Operators  and  other charges associated with functioning of “Praja Seva Kendram”.

iii.      The amount  should  be  remitted to the Collector’s  Office  before 5th  every month.

BRIEF NOTE ON PRAJA SEVA KENDRAMS

                        ‘Praja Seva Kendram’ has been launched in all the 46 Tahsil offices as a programme on 02/10/2010 on the occasion of ‘Gandhi Jayanthi’ to provide all Citizen Services  delivered from a Tahsildar office to the Citizens through a Single Window ‘Citizen Service Counter’. The programme envisages the usage of IT to enable delivery of services in a defined manner within the timeframe of ‘Citizen Charter’ for each service. The services thus delivered can be easily monitored for implementation at the District & Divisional level.

Each service is designed to be delivered by filing application in prescribed application form set only. No applications are received on white papers. Further the list of documents to be attached with each Application Form are also provided in the form of a checklist that is provided in the Application Form itself. The user fee and the time frame for delivery of each service is defined and scruplously followed. Receipt is issued for  each and every application received from Praja Seva Kendram.

Praja Seva Kendram has been a highly successful initiative in delivery of all revenue department related citizen services with complete transparency and great convenience to the public. The applicants for these services have been highly appreciative of this programme.
